Introduction

Oviedo Chinese School is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to teaching Zhuyin and Traditional characters. We use textbooks from Taiwan, which are the same textbooks that are used in Taiwan to teach Mandarin. Oviedo Chinese School has been promoting Mandarin teaching, humanities, and cultural heritage for both native and non-native speakers of Mandarin in the community for many years. The school holds six classes, mainly enrolling students aged 4 to 18, with classes held on Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings, Sunday afternoons. In order to meet the growing demand for Mandarin language learning population in recent years, Oviedo Chinese School was approved by OCAC to establish Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) in 2023. The center provides practical and systematic Mandarin language learning and Taiwanese cultural learning experiences for adults aged 18 and older.
