Torrance Chinese School (TCS) was founded in 1988. After many years of growth and development, it's been one of the largest Chinese schools in Southern California. TCS offers language classes from grades K to AP, in traditional characters. Torrance Chinese School offered Adult Mandarin class for around 20 years since the school's establishment. Since 2022, Torrance Chinese School has reestablished its Adult Mandarin program under TCML to provide quality Mandarin and culture education Through hosting and participating in many local event & activities, we established connection between our school, students, and local communities.
Majority of our students are professionals in high-tech companies, they hoped to establish a strong foundation in Mandarin to meet their work needs. In addition to rigorous teaching of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, interactive games, acting and cultural exchanges among students from diverse backgrounds, as well as teaching tea art and shadow puppetry were used to teach adult students about the rich culture of Taiwan, leaving a deep and positive impression on its high-quality humanities, landscapes, and culture. Our teacher also tailors the class material and difficulties to meet each class’s demand.
