In establishing the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning, our school aims to advance the teaching of traditional characters abroad and bolster Taiwan’s international standing in Mandarin education, particularly in Austria. Furthermore, we seek to extend our influence in Mandarin education to a wider audience. By immersing themselves in Taiwan's multicultural and democratic environment, students will not only enhance their language skills but also develop into adept diplomatic leaders, adept in fostering economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two countries. This initiative will also aid students in applying their skills effectively in professional settings.
Our school's curriculum for Mandarin classes encompasses three levels: introductory, intermediate, and advanced. We utilize meticulously crafted textbooks provided by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Council, including "Speaking Mandarin in 500 Words," "Speaking Mandarin in 1,000 Words," and "Let’s Learn Mandarin.” These resources are supplemented by "Go! Chinese Go 100-400" and customized teaching materials, enabling students to express locally relevant content and forge connections within the community. Upon achieving a basic proficiency level, students are encouraged to engage in cultural classes, fostering an immersive learning environment conducive to further enhancing their Mandarin skills.
