Taiwan business families association in the South Netherlands (TSN) was established in 2011, initially providing Taiwanese schools for children. There are currently five Taiwanese classes, enrolling students aged 5-18. In 2024, with the support of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) in Taiwan, we officially established the first the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) in Eindhoven, offering interesting and dynamic Mandarin learning courses for adults aged 18 and above who are interested in Mandarin.The aim is to provide an environment for beginners of Mandarin to learn traditional characters from Taiwan, as well as to teach and promote the unique features of Taiwanese Mandarin teaching.
“The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Eindhoven” primarily targets non-native speakers aged 18 and above. The courses mainly utilize Mandarin teaching materials provided by the OCAC and various online resources. The curriculum is based on the “Let’s learn Mandarin” materials and incorporates local festivals and Taiwanese cultural activities to integrate language learning into students' daily lives. Through teaching and sharing, we aim to stimulate students' interest in Mandarin and their understanding of Taiwanese culture.
