San Diego North County Chinese School is the first TCML established in San Diego in 2023. Through language learning, we aim to share Taiwan's democratic values and the essence of Taiwanese culture with American friends, enabling them to understand that Taiwan is a free, democratic, and open country, as well as the best place to delve into the essence of Taiwanese culture. We will uphold the educational spirit of the North County Chinese School for over forty years, not only to provide Mandarin learning opportunity in the San Diego area but also integrated with Taiwanese culture to the community.
Our TCML incorporates thematic teaching and integrates with traditional festivals and culture. The course curriculum includes daily life conversation, culture, customs, festivals … etc. Students are not only learning the language, but also understanding Taiwanese culture.The Center offers classes to adults (18 years and over). Textbooks used in the program are “Let’s Learn Mandarin”, “Speak Mandarin in 500 Words”, and “Speak Mandarin in 1000 Words”, published by the OCAC of Taiwan.
