The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) is a global program that was established through the U.S. -Taiwan Education Initiative to enhance bilateral language cooperation. The Taiwanese Center for Mandarin Learning - San Antonio Chinese Culture Institute (SACCI) had its official opening ceremony on April 15th, 2023. San Antonio is the 4th largest city in Texas. TCML SA (https://www.tcmlsatx.org/) seeks to extend the TCML Program to the greater San Antonio communities and allow for an accessible way to anyone wishing learn Mandarin. Our Mandarin classes are taught by experienced native speakers, regardless of national origin or place of birth.
Our faculty is professionally-trained and are native speakers. They are experienced instructors who prioritize the education of the students. Besides offering Mandarin as well as various cultural activities for our TCML classes, our chapter works closely with the Culture Center of TECO in Houston and provides an in-person culture tour to our students. Our TCML program also works closely with the non-profit organizations such as the Taiwanese America Association San Antonio (TAASA) and the Raindrop foundation San Antonio and Asian Festival San Antonio to provide various cultural events and activities for the local communities.
