The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning at Murray Hill Chinese School was founded in July 2021. Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) is a global program with a regionally-focused curriculum. Our vision is to expand language and cultural exchange between Taiwan and the United States. The mission is to promote Mandarin learning, preserve traditional heritage, enhance the understanding of the value of culture and to advocate cultural diversity in America
Our program focuses on real-life conversation via situational curriculum design and variety of cultural classes. We offer online and in-person dual-track parallel modes and move away from textbook-centric teaching methods and replace them with courseware. Adopt a thematic approach, design beginner, intermediate, and advanced teaching modules with different vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures. Utilize pictures and audiovisual materials as supplementary teaching aids, allowing students to apply them dynamically.
