There are currently two beginner classes. In September, one intermediate class and one beginner class will be launched. The teaching will focus on listening and speaking, supplemented by reading, writing and typing. Moreover, students will learn about traditional culture and folk festivals. For example: Lunar New Year, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, with food and life etiquette, flower arrangement and tea ceremony. The key point is to promote Taiwanese folk culture and tourism, traditional culture and the humanistic spirit of respecting etiquette, respecting filial piety, and respecting teachers and elders.
The biggest feature will not only be language class but also humanities & culture class with Tzu Chi humanistic spirit. Explain the concept of environmental protection and loving the earth. Teaching flower arrangement, tea ceremony and calligraphy, traditional painting appreciation, and introducing traditional folk customs of Taiwanese festivals, such as: Hakka culture Leicha, making rice dumplings and moist cakes. Use food culture to deepen American students' understanding of Taiwanese culture and attract students to class. Participate in the Traditional Character, Cultural Festival, watch Taiwanese performances, and experience Taiwanese culture. Multiple customized learning content will be provided.
