The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) in Sweden is conveniently located in the southern borough of central Stockholm, at walking distance from metro and bus stations. The center is open on weekdays from 15:00 to 21:00 and on weekends from 9:00 to 18:00. The center will be teaching Mandarin to those with an interest in Taiwan, traditional culture and traditional characters. The design of the courses is based on the learners’ needs and goals. The courses are held mainly in the center’s classroom but there will be some online classes as well.
The courses are learner-centered. Students study the language in an inter-active, fun and practical way. The goal of the courses is to improve students’ listening and speaking skills through “learning by doing”. This way they will quickly develop a functional level of Mandarin and have a sense of accomplishment as well. In order to provide more opportunities for students using Mandarin in their daily life, the center will also arrange Mandarin language café activities where students will be able to practice outside the classroom. With the guidance and assistance from professional Mandarin teachers, the students will deepen their knowledge about Taiwan, Mandarin and traditional culture.
