Welcome to the Chong Wa School, the oldest Chinese school in Washington state, proudly located in Seattle's Chinatown at the historic Chong Wa Hall, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In 2023 we partnered with the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning and enhanced our Adult Mandarin program through our alliance. Our center offers Mandarin courses for adults aged 18 and older with course content based on the renowned textbook "Let's Learn Mandarin”, edited by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
Following foreign language teaching concepts students learn vocabulary for daily use through natural dialogue with the addition of Taiwanese culture and cuisine. We hope that through cultural teaching, Mandarin teaching will not only provide an essential tool for communication, but also gain the understanding of other ethnic groups, resulting in reciprocal and trusting friendships.
