Established in 1970, Chinese Language School of Baltimore has been dedicated to promoting Mandarin and cultural heritage for nearly half a century. In 2021, we expanded our outreach by launching TCML - Chinese Language School of Baltimore, focusing primarily on adult classes. Currently, we offer two levels of classes: beginner classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and intermediate classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Additionally, we provide in-person cultural classes every Saturday to enrich students' learning experience and deepen their understanding of traditional culture.
Our curriculum is centered around "Let’s Learn Mandarin", "Speak Mandarin in Five Hundred Words", and "Speak Mandarin in One Thousand Words" published by the Taiwan Overseas Community Affairs Council. This approach enables us to cover diverse topics and cater to varying proficiency levels. Teachers integrate Taiwan's traditional festivals, offering unique cultural experiences. Additionally, our teachers design engaging supplementary materials to boost student interest. To accommodate students' schedules, we primarily offer flexible online classes, ensuring accessibility for all learners.
