The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning－Bergen Chinese School (TCML-BCS) was established under the New Jersey Bergen Chinese School to provide a unique learning opportunity for adults 18 and above in Mandarin, history, customs, and traditional culture.The Bergen Chinese School (BCS) is one of the biggest Mandarin language schools in New Jersey, founded in 1972. BCS conducts classes every Sunday at Tenafly High School in Tenafly, NJ throughout the school year. BCS has 230 students and 22 teachers from different locations in the tri-state area who learn Mandarin in its traditional characters and participate in cultural activities.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner of Mandarin, TCML-BCS is the ideal class for you if you are at least 18 years old. You will learn Mandarin through the ACTFL’s three modes of communication, which involve authentic scenarios and cultural activities, and discover the rich and varied Taiwanese culture and traditions by taking part in different events and festivals. In this class, you will follow the textbook “Let’s Learn Mandarin” to learn Mandarin Pinyin, grammar, and dialogues in an orderly manner. You will also benefit from various online resources to support your learning.
