The Ann Arbor Chinese School (AACCOM) was established in 1974. The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning - Ann Arbor Chinese School is established in March 2022. It is affiliated with AACCOM and supervised by the board of directors. TCML- Ann Arbor Chinese School is the first TCML in Michigan. It has abundant software and hardware, highly qualified teaching staff and great instruction contents to promote Mandarin learning, traditional characters, and Taiwan culture to the mainstream communities. Building on nearly 50 years of the Mandarin education experience, the TCML - Ann Arbor Chinese School is the best hub for Mandarin learning in Michigan.
The TCML- Ann Arbor Chinese School offers Mandarin lessons to adults aged 18 and over, and adopts small-group instruction in a class. There are two semesters in a year, and twelve weeks in each semester. Each week the program offers two hours of in-person and 1 hour of on-line lessons. Currently there are total 27 students in three classes (Beginner 1, Beginner 2, and Intermediate) taught by Teacher Yu-Jo Chou Philson, Teacher Jen-Hwen Wang, and Teacher Ko Yu Chan. The program also provides opportunities for cultural activities and performances, including the Lunar New Year events, recitation contest, and year-end celebration party.
